About me...

Jeff Weissman is a multifaceted artist based in New York City. He holds a B.A. in Arts from Western Connecticut State University, where he majored in music and piano, and pursued additional musical training at the Juilliard School of Music.
He developed his theatrical writing at Playwrights Horizons Theater School under David Bucknam, and later refined his craft under the mentorship of Joseph Church, professor at NYU’s Drama Department and conductor of The Lion King. His work in musical theater includes composing the New York City production of Ophelia at Wings Theatre.
In recent years, Jeff has expanded into screenwriting, completing projects across children’s animation, science fiction, and historical drama. Two of his historical screenplays advanced to the Quarterfinals of the 2025 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, further establishing him as a writer whose work bridges music, theater, and film.
